Visit to Prague

Trip to the Czech capital.

Day 1 - Travel out by train with stops in Aschaffenburg, Nurenburg, Schwandorf. Nighttime walk in Prague.
Day 2 - Old town, Prague Castle and surrounding hills
Day 3 - Museum of Technology, Museum of Communism, walk south down the Vltava River and late night Metro journey back to hotel
Day 4 - Train back to Darmstadt via Dresden and Frankfurt.

Everything was open late on Sunday night, big contrast to Germany. Even supermarkets and Marks and Spencers

The city is full of little conviencienve / souveneer shops called supermarkets

There are attractive pavement stone designs everywhere

The city has slopes everywhere and many buildings are at one level at the front and a different level at the back

The city was very clean with no litter but graffitti was everywhere, some very artistic

The canals are at a level below street level

Prague is full of odd little touristy trap museums

The Metro seemed to be the only part of the city without many tourists as everyone else seemed to be locals

Odd looking rock formation that plummets into the river to the right, with an old palace on top. It's a popular jogging route and I was the only one walking along the path
